Stella David, CEO of Entain, has urged UK regulators to prohibit unlicensed gambling sponsorships in British football. The executive called for immediate intervention to address the presence of unregulated operators in sports partnerships.
David requested that the government and the Gambling Commission adopt a stricter approach similar to the Financial Conduct Authority. Entain, the operator behind Ladbrokes and Coral, argues that current measures are insufficient to block unlicensed entities from sponsoring teams.
Combating Unregulated Market Participants

Entain insists that football clubs must cease collaborations with these entities to maintain market integrity. The operator has recently taken a leading role in the campaign against unlicensed sports sponsorships.
